This policy is in effect for all members of the “Fuzion Volleyball Club”, herein after referred to as the Club.
This policy defines the parameters around cancelling Fuzion events due to inclement weather.
Safety is our number one priority and parents have final say, over and above this policy. If a parent is not comfortable travelling to a Club event, including a practice, due to the weather conditions, they are not expected to attend and the athlete’s absence will not be counted against any attendance policy.
In the event that Anglophone East and Francophone Sud school districts are closed in Moncton and surrounding communities, all Fuzion events will also be cancelled for that day, regardless of location.
If only Anglophone East has closed their schools, events may continue for anything normally scheduled at a Francophone Sud school.
If only Francophone Sud has closed their schools, events may continue for anything normally scheduled at an Anglophone East school.
In the event that Anglophone East and/or Francophone Sud close their schools during the school day, all events will be cancelled.
In the event that Anglophone East and/or Francophone Sud remain open, but the weather has changed for the worse throughout the day or evening, events will be at the discretion of the organizer (Head Coach, director, etc.), but parents will retain final say over their athlete.
Cancellation decisions for weekday practices will be made as soon as possible and no later than 4:00 pm.
Cancellation decisions for travel to weekend tournaments will be made by the Club Director, in consultation with the coaches, no later than 24 hours prior to the tournament.
Notice will be given through our social media, via email and contact to teams through their coaches or managers.
The Club will attempt to recover missed gym time due to weather cancellation but however no refund will be issued for any time missed.
